On 19 of June 2023, the Director of CIMT, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, was invited as one of the speakers for the inauguration of the IMT-GT Rubber Cities Visit Programme to SEZ Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
The event was inaugurated by Hon. Ignatius Warsito, Acting Director-General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industries, Ministry of Industry, The Republic of Indonesia.
This landmark event attended by big numbers of delegation from IMT-GT member countries headed by Mr. Saiful Bahri, Director Downstream Chemical Industry and Pharmaceutical, Ministry of Industry Indonesia, Mr. Hasri bin A Hasan, COO of NCIA, and Mrs. Napawan Lekawipat, Director of Rubber Industry, RAOT Thailand, represents an initial stride towards fortifying rubber cooperation among Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
As the IMT-GT Rubber Cities Visit programme unfolds, the program will continue with visits to Songkhla Rubber City in Thailand and Kedah Rubber City in Malaysia, culminating with the workshop at the prestigious Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) office in Penang on 26 June 2023.
This event sets the stage for fostering enduring collaborations and shaping a resilient future in the rubber industry.
